RUB-Forum Capital of Culture 2010

Since the winter 2006/07, the Institute for social movements organizes in conjunction with the Rector of Ruhr-University Bochum once each semester the RUB-Forum Capital of Culture 2010.
The series aims to experts and an interested audience of regional public and students to discuss historical and cultural facets of the Ruhr area together and at the same time to accompany the planning and design process of Culture 2010. The first event in January 2007 dealt with the foundations of the concept of culture and the origins and developments discussed the idea of Culture. The other events had been the role of science and the range of cultural phenomena of the subject. Participation in the events is free.
