The History of the Ruhr Foundation offers scientists - in cooperation with the Institute for Social Movements (ISB) - a forum for research on the topics "Social Movements", "Social History", "History of the Industrial World" and "the Ruhr Area in History and Present". Each year, up to six guest researchers are offered a research period by the foundation. The duration of the research stay can vary between a minimum of two two weeks up to a maximum of six months. Financial support will not be provided, but the programme offers a workstation with internet access, telephone and fax for guest researchers. They also have access to the libraries in Bochum and become a part of the worldwide network of the foundation and the institute.
If you are interested in staying as guest researcher at the Institute for Social Movements, please send your application for the programme to the management of the Library of the Ruhr Foundation.
An application for inclusion in the programme can always be handed in at the foundation management. Applicants should briefly outline their research project (one page) and add a short curriculum vitae (including a list of publications).
